A short diary (log) of my activities
Day 1/2 -
We/Th 6/7.7.2005 - Fly / St. Petersburg Center & Meeting
Starting at 11:40 at Bozen with my BMW 320d to Munich / Germany. Flying to St. Petersburg with Pulkovo. We get a Taxi from the airport for 30 Euro to Hotel Sovetskaya. There we check-in at 23:30. After we made a tour in the south of our Hotel, but there it was not so secure.
Next morning we made our breakfast for the first time in the big hotel room. Klaus needed some Aspirin, because he was not perfectly ok. Then we walked in the center to the Nicolaus-Marine-Cathedrale and the big cathedrale of Isaac. After getting a first impression of the enormous castle place we went down the Nevskij Prospekt to the Grand Hotel Europe to drink something. The prices where so high, that our hunger was striked down. After drinking a beer, we meet Anna and his sister and eat something at a viking style restaurant. We walked to the russian museum and after a short visit of the software office we had a nice meal at the russian food chain "Traktir" with Anna & Victoria. Klaus was really tired and so we went home by metro.
Day 3 - Fr 8.7.2005 - Petrograd
We went to Petrograd to make a tour like indicated in a travel guide. We saw the wood house of Peter I the Great and the famous revolution ship Aurora. Trough the Alexander-Garden we came to a idylic restaurant and eat something. After we went to the Peter & Paul Fortress. We saw the cathedrale with a
Day 4 - Sa 9.7.2005 - Winter Palace / Eremitage
Day 5 - Su 10.7.2005 - Peterhof
Day 6 - Mo 11.7.2005 - Shopping & train transfer
Day 7 - Tu 12.7.2005 - Moscow Center / Arbat
2 policeman fine us 500 Rouble (about 15 Euro; first they want 3000) for not having or passport with Visa with us.
Day 8 - We 13.7.2005 - Historical Museum
Day 9 - Th 14.7.2005 - Sportpark & fly back
We had a funny/scary experience with a russian guy: he lost on the street before us a bundle of dollars. We had another tourist eye witness, who saw all too.
