Starting at 02:15 at Bozen with Thomas's VW Golf TDI to Munich / Germany. Flying to Niederrhein. From there we arrive at the Arlanda Airport at 1 PM. We use the Flygbussarna Airport Coaches to reach Stockholm Center for 89 SEK. We lost our backbags in the bus. So we decide to check-in in the Vanadis Hotell. Then we reach the City Terminalen to buy the StockholmsKortet (free admission to museums, sightseeings and transportations) for 540 SEK . After we get our backbags at the good organized terminal. From there we part to the Skansen Open-air Museum and Zoological Gardens. There we saw one of the most known swedish TV-Shows and many tipical swedish animals and buildings.
After we went back to our hotel and then part to the sport bar Sveahof, where the soccer game Juventus - Djurgarden was shown. Surprisingly the Stockholm team played a 2-2.
Afterwards we tried unsuccessfully to find the disco ship Patricia near to Slussen and walked a lot.

Museums/Boat Trip
PICT3354.jpg (26kb) PICT3366.jpg (14kb) PICT3381.jpg (20kb) PICT3388.jpg (14kb) PICT3405.jpg (17kb)
We got our breakfast for 100 SEK (50 per person) at the Vanadis. We decided to fully use our StockholmsKortet to visit many museums. But before we incidentally exit at the wrong metro station and had problems to find the right because 2 streets had nearly the same name. The Historiska museet was interesting trip in the Viking history of Sweden. We took our fish lunch in the Delfi - a greek restaurant at Stora Grämunkegränd 8 for 534 SEK. After we visited the coronation church, the royal castle and some surrounding museums. There we had a funny meeting with a person that told us the cult saying: "I was in the line".
Then we got the free sightseeing trip with Strömma to the Djurgården Runt Vuxen boat tour with the Delfin I. Back then wecfinally found a nice seafood restaurant: The Stockholm Fisk (Royal Viking) near to the City Terminalen. There we eated very good. After we went to the city and got some swedish beer, for example in the Mojo-coffee for 90 SEK (45 one beer).

Day 3 - 12.8.2004
Shaergården

The next day we start for the most beautiful experience. First we saw the awake-replace of the royal guard. Then we start to Fjäderholmarna via Nacka Strand, one of the nearest Shaer Isles to Stockholm. We use agian Strömma and their Delfin XII boat (160 SEK for 2 persons). We had a really fine afternoon at the rocks and beaches of the isle. We eat really good at the Rökeriet for 940 SEK (first & main dish for 2 persons, 1 bottle Sauvignon), it was a nice restaurant on the isle.
After we turn back to our hotel. The surprise was a call from V-Bird, that we had to decide to fly back 1 day before or after, because fly problems at Saturday. Nevertheless we prepared us for a nice evening at the Gamla Stan. Afterwards the action was going on in the Birger Jarlsgatan (Street near the Östermalm part of the city).

PICT3476.jpg (14kb) PICT3480.jpg (19kb)
We decide to fly back, because I liked to visit a village celebration near to my hometown at sunday. We went to the Arlanda-airport again with the After the Flygbussarna Airport Coaches for 89 SEK. After check-in and some surfing we leave to Niederrhein. There we had to hurry up to get immediatly our fly to Munich. There we drived in the city to visit Werner Selva. We eat at the greek restaurant Parkstadt Oase in Bogenhausen, near his home. got the Pfanno Baby Kalamaria for 17,20 Euro. After we leave the city to reach Bozen. A big thunderstorm raged in the Eisack valley and near to Bozen. We meet there Klaus-Dieter Agostini, who too was coming back from Germany from a Würth meeting.
